- You are already receiving treatment from CAMHS

Common Questions
Many of the therapies we offer here at Birth Trauma North East can be delivered online. Nervous System therapies and the NBO need to be delivered in person.
We are currently hosted by REFLECT on Yarm Highstreet & within Clarity Counselling in Guisborough Bow Street Centre.
Birth Trauma North East deliver a wide variety of therapies to suit your needs. Our experienced assessment team will tailor a therapeutic package to make sure you’re getting the best care we can give. If you require more information about the types of therapy that are suggested to you, please email our team and we would love a chance to explain our craft.
You are the expert of your own experience, the feelings and bodily sensations you’re having after birth trauma. If you have reached out for help, then you’ve identified that you’re in a position to begin working on your mental health.
If you are receiving therapy with a private counsellor, through the NHS, your work place, or your insurance we will be unable to see you. You are welcome to refer back in when your treatment has completed.
Two of our therapeutic interventions don’t require you to go into detail about what happened to you. There are opportunities through these interventions to share when you feel comfortable. However during our assessment we will need to get a good understanding of your experience.
If you live outside of the North East and wish to explore working with our specialist team, please get in touch to see how we can work with you.
Post Partum Psychosis is a medical emergency and needs to be managed by a dedicated team. General Psychosis is often managed by specific clinical teams in mental health hospitals or in the community. It is unsafe for us to treat anyone experiencing psychosis symptoms.
